Water quality: our top priority
Teuk Saat 1001 is seeing more and more brands of water or water treatment solutions, which means an encouraging expansion of access to drinking water in the country. The constraint lies in the fact that our team observed that the quality of the water is not always controlled as it should to ensure good health.
This is the reason why ensuring the water produced by Teuk Saat 1001 is safe to drink and complies with the WHO Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality is a top priority.
Teuk Saat 1001 tests the water quality of all our Water Kiosks every month for microbiological, physical, and chemical parameters to ensure the water is safe to drink. Procedures are in place to immediately respond to water quality issues. To respond to water quality issues, our lab officers contact the Water Kiosk entrepreneur by phone, the technicians visit the site to resolve problems with the treatment system, and Advisors provide training to the entrepreneurs to improve water quality.
In 2022 a total of 3,386 water samples from the treatment system outlet and from the 20 L bottles were tested in our labs to ensure the water provided was safe. This work ensured that more than 99% of samples were free from E. coli and that immediate action was taken when a sample tested positive.
